In addition to running outdoor clinical programs, David Glaser also sees clients in a traditional office setting in McLean, Virginia. David provides research and relationship-based strategies to help young people. His practice represents a holistic blend of mindfulness, psychodynamic therapy, and neuropsychologically-informed Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. David also offers to conduct therapy sessions outdoors. David does not take insurance, but clients receive bills for treatment ready to be submitted for reimbursement from insurance companies. It is important to keep in mind that reimbursement rates vary depending on insurance company and plan, so it is helpful to call your insurance company prior to initiating treatment for specifics.

Areas of expertise

David is a child, adolescent, young adult, and family therapist. He works with young people from preschool through college and slightly beyond. His main areas of expertise are helping clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, and/or ADHD.

David is a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCTAP), Certified ADHD Professional (ADHD-CCSP), and Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider (CMHIMP). He has also participated in extensive trainings on Mindfulness for Treating Kids and Teens. David is experienced in utilizing Child-Centered Play Therapy and Filial Therapy when working with children.

speaking engagements

David can be available to speak or provide trainings to parents, teachers, or employee groups. Some of his favorite topics to speak about include anxiety, anxiety and depression, behavior management, ADHD, and executive functioning skills. Speaking fees are dependent on distance of travel and length of presentation.

Background information

David received his Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from The National Catholic School of Social Service at The Catholic University of America in 2014. David became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia in 2016.
